HALLOWEEN HOMEWORK- Due October 28th

Share with us your favorite scary movie of all time and tell us why you like it so much! If you do not like horror films, think of a thriller, or a movie that kept you on the edge of your seat with fear.

One of my favorite scary movies of all time is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original). I remember watching it as a college student, and it was the first horror film that scared me so much I could not fall asleep! The gritty quality of the film and the insanity of the main character resonated with me for weeks...It was that horrifying and disturbing, which makes it a classic horror flick in my eyes.

Add your selection to the blog...tell us your favorite horror film, and why you like it so much. These must be completed by October 28th. Happy Halloween!

  1. The movie that scared me the most was the uninvited. A bunch of my friends and I went to go see it in the theater because I usually really like scary movies. For some reason watching this movie freaked me out so much. It was really bloody but that wasn’t it. The movie also had a really good plot that was really interesting. The end of the movie tied everything together perfectly but it was so clever that it was creepy. Lets just say my friends and I all slept in the same bed that night. Since then I have seen the movie a couple times and thinking back I think one of the main reasons why it scared me so much was the fact that we saw it in it the theater. Now the movie doesn’t scare me at all.

  3. friday the 13th i thought that was a creepy but good . it has a good story line. it was scary but it isa great story line i like that movie alot i love to watch thoose kinds of movies every year around halloween. I think that jason would have never killed anyone if only he had just been accepted for the way he was instead of being bullied and teased by all the other kids at camp crystal lake.

  4. The scariest movie I have ever watched was probably Paranormal Activity. I borrowed it from my cousin because he told me it was one of the scariest films he has ever seen. Until the end the movie was not as much scary as suspenseful and thrilling. The movie being shot in the dark the whole time made it hard to know when something was going to happen. Being shot with a video camera giving it a more real effect as if it was true was great. That movie was that scary the next day and especially now because ive watched it a bunch of times.

  5. My favorite scary movie of all time is Orphan. The movie was directed by Jaume Collet Serra and the main character, Esther, was played by Isabelle Fuhrman. The parents of two young children adopt Esther from an orphanage because she is unique, kind, and respectful when they first meet her. Throughout the movie, she does sneaky things that nobody realizes besides the kids, making the parents believe their children are being rude to her. Eventually, the mother starts to notice and tries to convince the father, but he doesn’t see it. Toward the end, the family finds out a shocking secret about Esther that they would never have guessed, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat for the remainder of the movie. It was one of the very few movies that actually scared me and I highly recommend it!

  6. My favorite horror film of all time would probably be Scream, the first one. It didn't scare me too much, but it always keeps me at the edge of my seat and it never fails to make me laugh. If I were to chose the scariest movie I've ever seen it would be Night of the Living Dead. My biggest fear is zombies and that movie stuck with me for about 3 years. But then again, I saw it when I was only about seven years old. But, I still absolutely refuse to watch zombie movies.

  7. My favorite horror film was definitely "Orphan". The movie kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Some parts were scarier than others and although it may not be the scariest movie I have ever seen I think its plot was what I liked best about it. I watched it in a mall in Albany New York with my friend and we both agreed that it was a very good movie.

  8. The Horror movie that I liked the most was The shining. We watched this movie in class and I thought it was great. The movie had a great storyline and ending. I normally don't like horror films but this movie changed my oppinon. It was a great movie with a great plot, based on a Stephen King novel. When our teacher told us that it was based on a Stephen King novel I knew it must have been good. King has a wicked imgantion that he uses for the best. That is my favorite halloween film and i hope you go out and see it.

  9. A scary but really good movie that iv enjoyed to watch is Fallen. It has excellent actors in it for example Denzel Washington and John Goodman. This movie has to do with demons. these are my favorite types because demons are a spiritual type of antagonist. You cant stap, shoot, or fight a demon with your bare hands. Thats what makes it scary not being able to hurt it or defend yourself from it. In this movie Denzel winds up being able to stop it except for a twist in the movie. Amazing movie watch it if you have time. Thats the scariest movie iv seen.
